Foot Orthoses: A Scientific Approach
Presented by Erick Janisse, CO, C. Ped.
This one-hour program provides participants with a scientific insight into the theories behind foot orthotic management. It will seek to answer the question of whether Root Theory is solid science and therefore still relevant to the design and function of modern foot orthoses. The program also examines the role that the subtalar joint neutral position plays in determining the outcome of orthotic management. The program concludes with an examination of what scientific literature has to say when it comes to the efficacy of different types of custom foot orthoses.
This program has been awarded 1.0 Category I Scientific CEUs by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC) and the Board of Certification/Accreditation, International. CEUs will be awarded upon the successful passing of the included ten question post-program quiz.
