The Heel Pain Conundrum (and Other Assorted Hindfoot Conditions)
Presented by Erick Janisse, CO, C. Ped.
About the Program
This new PFA program will delve into the diverse and challenging pedorthic category of "heel pain". This vague and overused diagnosis is often assumed to be simply plantar fasciitis, but that is often not the case. There are myriad causes for heel pain outside of the plantar fasciitis- heel spur paradigm. The presenter will explain the many alternative causes such as tarsal tunnel syndrome, Baxter's nerve entrapment, plantar fat pad inflammation, and many others, and offer pedorthic solutions for each condition. We will also discuss other hindfoot conditions including posterior tibial tendinitis, degenerative arthritis and Haglund's Deformity. This will be a practical and valuable webinar for any practicing pedorthist.
Continuing Education Points
The webinar has been awarded 2.5 Category 1 Scientific CEUs by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC) and the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC).
