Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of diabetes and
the challenges involved in treating patients with diabetes.
The program covers the disease itself as well as
its complications including: neuropathy, Charcot arthropathy and
The presenter thoroughly
reviews the pedorthic and orthotic modalities used in the treatment of the
diabetic foot and relate them to the four diabetic foot risk categories.
Finally, the program takes a look at the team
approach to diabetic foot care and the communication and follow-up that is
needed to sufficiently manage these patients.
This program has been approved by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics for 2.5 Category I Scientific CEUs, and 2.0 Category 1 CPE by the Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC).
